French Club: Velvet Strawberry Pincushion Class with Julie Collings
Join us for a very special class with the talented Julie Collings on June 18th from 6:00pm-9:00pm
This vintage Velvet Strawberry Pincushion class comes with everything you need to make this trio of lovely Summer berries. Using vintage velvet and hand dyed trims we will be stitching these velvet strawberries that showcase three different methods for creating the leaves and seeds as well as ombré dyeing in class the velvet and trims to create beautiful heirloom pincushions.
About the teacher: Julie Collings is a textile artist known for her softly romantic, vintage-inspired style and meticulous attention to detail. For over 16 years, she has worked full-time creating heirloom-quality pieces, hand-dyeing her own materials and developing original patterns that reflect a love of old-world craftsmanship.
She is the owner of a long-running, successful online shop and teaches sought-after workshops throughout the United States and internationally. Julie’s classes invite a more immersive approach to making—where beauty is found in subtle textures and the quiet charm of handmade details.
Shopping available at the shop before the class, and the chalet will be open for the entirety of the class.
Classes are held under our tent in an outdoor setting. Please dress in layers according to the weather.
